Not much to speak of today.
All is well here and plans for the weekend are shaping up.
Tonight might be date night—a tradition we hope we can keep up after the baby makes it’s appearance. One night a week for dinner and maybe a movie doesn’t seem like too much to ask.
It’ll probably be another freebie date night too so those are always extra special. We still have lots of restaurant and movie gift cards, although what I want to see isn’t likely to be available that way.
I’m dying to see Pan’s Labyrinth.
That kind of movie is right up my alley—dark, gothic, historical, fantastical, and foreign. Hubby is surprisingly on board with seeing this, but then I’ve never made him see a typically chick art film. We’ve seen Le Pacte Des Loups and a lot of Jet Li. Nothing but martial arts. He probably figures this is more kung fu so is happy to oblige.
One of my all-time favorite surprises? Delicatessen. I’m still not sure what was going on—maybe because of sleep deprivation—but it was worth watching. I remember it happened to come on TV when I was just getting home from a closing shift to take a quick nap and shower before I had to open the restaurant…back when I worked in one.
I wasn’t the only one who got sucked in either. No one on opening shift had slept because we’d all been watching the darn movie.
