I’m wondering if I shouldn’t have switched Sasha’s diet to the recommendations for children 2yo yet.
It was a small switch, but he’s lost a pound and a half.
I’m talking, of course, about the fat intake recommendations changing when children reach two.
We didn’t make any huge changes, really—just the switch from whole to 2% milk. Which mean his yogurts and his puddings/crèmes/custards were also changed. We feed him as much as he’ll eat, 5 or more times a day (3 meals, 2 snacks).
I am curious on where we can put in more calories, while avoiding as many empty calories as possible. Are some kids just not ready to go low-fat?
