So here’s what had possibly been in development.
You see, I recently got a promotion at work. The increase in pay was on hold till I got my PMP. I’ve been studying and planned to take the exam this summer.
But lo and behold, out of nowhere I get a call to come in and Puh-Leez interview for a job. They needed a manager! And they’d pay me exhorbitantly!
So of course, I went and interviewed. I’d be stupid not to.
Then, they tell me I have the job. Great!
But it’s not the job they advertised. It’d actually be a step down for me. And they weren’t going to be very accommodating with things like schedule or setting up somewhere for me to pump.
So I turned it down. I’m not desperate or anything. I actually liked my current job just fine. Sent a nice e-mail to a friend who’d suggested me for the management job thank you for thinking of me, but they decided to offer something different and not better so I would be staying where I am.
Well…I think he must’ve said something because? All of the sudden I was re-offered everything but this time what had been advertised. And they’d work the logistical issues around my needs.
So….change again.

That's awesome that they are re-offering what you want and need! Congrats and good luck coordinating it all!
Sounds a little crazy! Hope it all is a smooth transition! Hope Sasha cuts those teeth soon. I feel for you. :)
It's always a good feeling when you turn down a job for xyz reason and they come back with another offer because they're obviously impressed. Congrats and good luck with the new position!
Good luck!
